Partners Raising Support

Raising support while revising a Hebrew grammar

Christian & Holly are non-staff BTF partners pursuing a ministry of integrating Bible translation, church ministry, and theological education.

Holly is a missionary kid from Brazil, where she developed a passion for ministry and has been actively involved in many cross-cultural ministry opportunities since high school.

Christian grew up in Southern California and they met at The Master’s College, where Holly earned a BA in Biblical Counseling, and Christian earned a BA in Biblical Languages.

The desire to receive pastoral training in preparation for ministry led Christian to participate in a pastoral internship at their local church in Southern California while he earned his MDiv at Westminster Seminary California. During this time Christian was also licensed to preach in the Presbyterian Church in America.

Christian also completed graduate work in linguistics at the Summer Institute of Linguistics at the University of North Dakota and BIOLA University, where he received a MA in Applied Linguistics.

After Christian finished his PhD in Biblical Languages and Linguistics at Stellenbosch University, he did post-doctoral work at Hebrew University.

As of 2021, Christian is working as a Research Associate at Cambridge University where he is helping to complete a revision of the GKC Hebrew Grammar.

During this two-year project they will continue raising support in hopes of returning to Israel and work as a Translation Consultant and trainer of pastors and translators.

More than half of the world’s languages still have no Scripture at all.
