Steve and Jenn have been married since 2002, are the parents of four children, and are thankful for the ministry the Lord has given them in their home, church, and community.

A native Californian, Steve came to believe the gospel in 1994 through the youth ministry of a local Baptist church. After serving in a church plant in college, Steve earned his M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary.

Before beginning pastoral ministry in 2009, Steve served at Children’s Hunger Fund, where he developed and taught a curriculum to train church leaders in a biblical theology of compassion ministry.

Steve is currently serving as one of the pastors at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA, where he focuses on preaching, theological instruction, as well as the church's ministry internship and leadership training.

Steve is passionate about BTF’s vision and focus, especially the need for reliable translations, careful exegesis for preaching, and a thorough grasp of theology by leaders for cultivating healthy local churches.
